About Us

The Commens family have been farming in the Millmerran district for four generations.

We purchased our first stud stock in 2011.

In 2012 and 2013 we purchased more breeding stock with the majority being of Polled or Scurred genetics.

The breeding program since then has been keeping selected females to grow our herd with a strong enfaces on Temperament, Polled and Scurred genes, with out loosing the structural quality's of horned cattle.

Whilst weaning our calves spend four weeks in the cattle yards, constantly being handle and worked through the yards. At the end of this process, the weaners are evaluated & selected on Temperament and Soundness,  with any not making the grade being sold as trade cattle. These cattle are not pampered, run as you would bullocks, only being washed when it rains. Their weights vary depending on the seasons, but there strong  genetics are always present.

The cattle run on lighter scrub country through to box belah soils. Our cattle are 7in1 and Pesti virus vaccinated, ask for individual animal treatments. We have a range of content % Charbrays to suit all purposes.
